Inaugural Study of Religions Undergraduate Prizes Awarded
Students from our Study of Religions undergraduate programme have been awarded inaugural prizes for their excellence in academic writing: Rebecca Desbordes and Finn Mac Callum received the Isabella Honan Essay Prize for the best first year essays. Alice Stapleton was awarded the Brian Bocking Dissertation Prize for the best final year dissertation.

Spotlight on €400,000 EU funding for UCC and UCG projects
Research Ireland has recently awarded a total of €414,844 to three research projects under the Humanities in European Research Area (HERA) initiative. HERA, a trans-national, co-funding partnership established under the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme, involves 22 European partners. The successful Irish awardees on these European consortium projects include CHRYSES: Mapping Environmental Health Crises – Public Understanding through Myths and Science (Dr Jenny Butler)
